Depending on who you ask, the buzz either abated for the debut of this Jacksonville indie rock band upon release, infamously receiving a poor review from Pitchfork, or it was a sure-fire hit, cracking the #5 position on the UK Albums chart and lauded as one of the best albums of the year by SPIN and NME.

Review

A lot of these songs, earlier present on the self-released Wizard of Ahhs EP, seemed endearingly rough. Meeting the brief set by the title, producer Bernard Black sanded off the edges to gloss what's in hindsight a pretty conventional indie pop album for parties.
